Situated in the Dordogne, in the Périgord Vert region, between Limoges and Périgueux, Nantheuil is a small village in the heart of nature. Peace and quiet guaranteed.
For 3 centuries, the primary aim of the Knights Templar was to house and protect pilgrims on the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago de Compostela. For us, it was a matter of course to maintain this spirit of openness and sharing with travellers.
Our 3 guest rooms have good bedding, a large wardrobe, very high-speed WIFI (fibre), a connected TV and air conditioning. The « travellers » areas are reserved for you. Large independent entrance, parking, private bathroom or shower room and separate WC. Access to the swimming pool on the south-south-west facing terrace and to the outside grounds.
As a bed and breakfast, breakfast is provided, but we do not cater for meals.
Games and tourist information are available. We can give you tourist advice.
For health and safety reasons, we are unable to accept pets, with the exception of assistance dogs.

Being close to the Flow Vélo (cycle route linking La Rochelle to Thiviers) we offer specific services to our travellers (tools, battery recharging, car parking, transfer to Thiviers station, bike hire shop, etc.).
Closed garage for bikes. You can leave your car on site for cycling tours. For safety reasons, batteries may not be recharged in the bedrooms. Recharging is possible in the garage.

Périgord is a region rich in history and heritage, with a tradition of gastronomy and flavours, not forgetting nature! Why is Périgord known as the land of a thousand and one châteaux?
There aren’t actually 1,000 and 1 châteaux in the Dordogne – it’s a phrase that sounds like a bit of advertising – but the fact is very real: while it’s estimated that there are just over 10,000 châteaux in France, the Dordogne has around 11% of them, making it the richest département in France when it comes to « châteaux ».

In Thiviers, 5 minutes by car, you’ll find all the shops, supermarkets, restaurants, petrol stations, garages, cinema, all the health professions and a SNCF station. A market every Saturday morning and, depending on the season, themed markets: truffles, foie gras, local producers, etc.
As frequent travellers, we regularly use AirBnB throughout France. We are therefore very sensitive to the welcome, the exchange, the quality of the services and the cleanliness. We will do our utmost to ensure that you have a pleasant stay at « Les Templiers de la Croix Ferrée ».
